Dangers of Mercury in Vacines

Mercury has been known as dangerous since the 1700s When the hat makers in London went mad from their lead hats. Exemplified by the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. nonetheless, many vaccines, including Whooping Cough, Diptheria, MMR, and especially Hepatitis B, the later given to all infants at 12-24 hours of life, an inexcusable procedure, contain mercury (Thimersal) in amounts' far in excess of those cited as dangerous bt the EPA in 1998.

The Amer. Academy of Pediatrics, The American Association of Family Practitioners recommend removing Mercury from Immunizations. So has the World Health Organization, and the prestigious American Associations of Physicians, who also requested single dose vaccines so Mercury would be unnecessary.

The Bush Administration has withheld information about the dangers and asked the EPA to tone down its anti-vaccine rhetoric. Five EPA members have resigned in protest.

Many state legislatures are seeking to ban thimersal from vaccines and /or investigatingthe large pharmaceutical companies that have deliberately covered up the dangers.

Legislation introduced by Congressman Weldon Burton (Florida, an M.D.) would ban vaccines containing mercury.

The chief sources of mercury are as follows:

  • (a) Power plant emissions;
  • (b) Ingestion of large fish, especially albacore tuna(R);
  • (c) Dental amalgams (R);
  • (d) Vaccines (R).

A list of the vaccines containing mercury is appended. The vaccines include Hepatitis B and Influenza, in which mercury is present in large quantities. It is also present in Rhogam (R), a vaccine used to prevent Hemolytic Diseases of the Newborn (R). In the past few years, it has been discovered, that the Hepatitis vaccine causes serious neurological and ophthalmologic side effects, including.(5 Rs)..., nephrotic syndrome (RR), various dermatologic diseases ( 82,83), and erythema nodosum (86).

The dangers of infantile vaccines, especially Measles, were discussed previously. Only those vaccines given intravenously or orally are safe. The only recommended vaccine is Polio and also only the Smallpox vaccine because the necessity outweighs the risk. The rest of the vaccines carry more risk than potential benefit. The present paper discusses the Influenza vaccine, which significantly increases risk of Alzheimer's Disease, perhaps due to the mercury content, mercury-antigen antibody complexes. The Hepatitis B vaccine is especially dangerous perhaps because of mercury content, and has produced many immune complex diseases, including nephronic syndrome and various neurologic disorders, presumable because the complexes bind to the glial in the brain, and various ophthalmologic diseases presumably because they bind to monocyte-derived cells in the retinal blood vessels. The risk associated with these vaccines far exceeds any potential benefit.
